What can one say about this? I particularly like the part where the superintendent claims that the bible promotes critical thinking skills.

It is an elective course. I don't have a problem with it. In fact I would like to teach the course myself. The results might be different than if we have a Christian instructor.
ReplyDeleteI cant help but be suspicious about it. It would be too convenient for the instructor to manipulate young minds in ways that would technically avoid breaking any rules but still get the 'mind virus' implanted. Even at older ages, young people are vulnerable. I wish I could get my daughter to tell you of her experience at college with "Campus Outreach". I almost lost her and it really really freaked me out. Nope, now way, and no how. Thats my vote. If they had their way, we would be back in the middle ages, a modern day inquisition would be instituted and science would be classified as "evil".
ReplyDeleteI think Bible courses should remain in churches and private religious school where they can brainwash to thier hearts content. but not in public schools.
